German Oral Exam — 25% (100 marks)

Reading Comprehension — 30% (120 marks)

Exam approach and top tips, recognising and accurately answering typical questions to gain full marks
Essential grammar, including commonly used verbs, for accurate answering and overall text understanding
Expansion of basic and high-level vocabulary vital to perform well in both reading comprehensions

Listening Comprehension — 20% (80 marks)

Frequent aural practice and correction of past papers, with tips to improve listening comprehension
A clear task approach for each section

Applied Grammar — 6.25% (25 marks)

Frequent practice and correction of past and sample applied grammar questions
Tutoring and revision of all aspects of German grammar needed to maximise marks in this section

Written Comment on a Theme — 6.25% (25 marks)

Recognising typical questions and instructions, with strategies for answering them all
Guidance on how content and expression are marked, plus useful words, phrases and notes on key topics
Sample answers, and frequent practice and correction of past questions

Written Production — 12.5% (75 marks)

Letter layout, including appropriate openings and endings
Essential topic notes, phrases and expressions for letters and responses to the picture/cartoon stimulus
Mastering the grammar and word order needed to produce accurate, high-scoring German
